Kristen Golden is a seasoned leader and fundraiser with more than 25 years of experience working to end violence and promote equality. She has created innovative partnerships and campaigns, and written successful grants totaling several million dollars at the community, state, and national levels, most recently working with the Full Frame Initiative. Kristen has directed nonprofits including Class Action, a national nonprofit committed to ending classism, and Safe Passage, a domestic violence prevention agency which she led through a period of intense growth—more than doubling its annual budget and services, and completing a $1.2 million capital campaign to create the first fully accessible shelter in Massachusetts. Prior to leading Safe Passage, Kristen spent a dozen years in New York City as a fundraiser, writer, and organizational consultant.
Kristen was the original project director of Take Our Daughters to Work Day, a contributing editor to Ms. magazine, co-author of Remarkable Women of the Twentieth Century: 100 Portraits of Achievement, and Gloria Steinem’s personal assistant.
