Financial Boot Camp
Join us at Friends of Children for our Financial Boot Camp. Learn all about how to effectively utilize checking and savings accounts, create a budget and develop and maintain good credit. This workshop is made available through our FOCUS program and will be taught by financial experts at Greenfield Savings Bank. CASA Volunteer Training
Friends of Children is holding a training for new CASAs in June. Dates to be announced! This training is conducted for all volunteers who have completed the initial CASA screening process to include filling out an application. We are currently screening volunteers on a remote basis. We are continuing to consider CASAs to attend this training, which will likely be fully remote or a combination of in person and remote training. Our FOCUS membership program is holding a workshop on self-advocacy and empowerment, as it relates to STIs (sexually transmitted infections). The workshop will be conducted by Tapestry Health. All FOCUS members who complete a survey following the workshop will receive a $50 stipend. The training will be held on Zoom, and a link to the training is coming soon.
